Fuel combustion can be occurred in warm water, hot water and steam boilers then chiller can receive energy of fuel by water or steam. But direct fired chiller has internal combustion in high temperature generator and energy of fuel can be transferred to solution directly.
There are various working cycles for direct fired chillers. Serial, Parallel, Reverse and flash are most common types of direct fired chillers in Iran.
Between above types of chillers only Flash type can be used in cooling and heating modes with low depreciation and without additional boiler.

– Flash Types can be used for heating in winter and producing domestic how water in addition to cooling. This will remove heating systems and save more cost.
